Steve has 16 years experience in the financial services industry. He joined Sagemark Consulting/ Lincoln Financial Advisors in July of 1992 as a Financial Planner. His current national practice specializes in family estate, charitable, business, and insurance and wealth management planning solutions for his highly affluent clientele and he is excited to bring that to The Advanced Strategies Group.
- Steve was the keynote speaker at the 2000 Idaho Estate Planning Round Table.
- In 2001 Steve spoke at the Lincoln National Sales Conference (Planning Forum) on Charitable planning with Life Insurance.
- In 2002 Steve was a speaker at the FPA Financial Planning Association International Success Forum and presented "Marketing to the Affluent and Preferred Introductions" to a national audience of financial planners as a part of the PRO-Advisor.
- In 2003 Steve was the keynote speaker at the Phoenix Society of Financial Planners annual meeting.
- In 2003 Steve was a platform speaker at the National Advanced Association of Life Underwriters (AALU) meeting in Washington DC.
- Steve has appeared on WJR radio station as a featured guest of the Digital Radio Hour discussing financial planning strategies.
- In 2004 Steve spoke at the Million Dollar Round Table on Premium Financed Life Insurance and two National Lincoln Conferences on Legacy Planning.
- In February 2005 Steve was a platform speaker at the ERAC AXA National Conference, and Lincoln's National Sales Conference on Estate and Charitable Planning.
- In March 2006 Steve spoke at Lincoln's National Sales Conference on two topics: estate and charitable planning for the affluent.
- In January 2007 Steve spoke at the International Forum on estate planning and wealth management for the ultra affluent.
- In February and March 2007 Steve spoke at two Lincoln National Sales Conferences on Charitable Planning and Legacy Planning for the affluent.
- In March and April 2008 Steve spoke at Lincoln's National Sales conference on Charitable and Legacy Planning.
- In January 2009 Steve will speak again at the International Forum on Life Insurance and working with advisors
- He is a member of the National Association of Philanthropic Planners and is actively involved with several charities, including the Adopt America Network (adoption of special needs children), where Steve sits on the board and is member of the endowment committee.
Steve has degrees in biochemistry and genetic engineering from the University of Michigan and the University of Toledo. Steve also coached and competed in the Junior and Adult Tennis Tours from 1981 through 1991. His students won seven high school state championships, three national championships, and the Junior French Open.
